The Magpie's original design concept was as a portable "WebPad" for the specific purpose of browsing the 'Net and Email. Our adaptaion of the device to an Outdoor Computer hasn't diminished this functionality at all.

Windows XP
The Magpie comes with Windows XP Home and therefore has Internet Explorer 6.0, Windows Messenger and Outlook Express already installed. You can of course upgrade these familiar softwares to the latest versions or install your own favored browser or email client.
